Our Hands On Traditional Crafts & Pottery Centre offers parties, workshops & courses in pottery as well as wool spinning, wool dying, felt making and dry stone walling workshops. There is an activity for all ages and abilities from as little as £5. Our founder and resident potter, with over 25 years potting experience on and off the potters’ wheel, and her team of friendly craft teachers welcome you to visit our crafts centre, see us at work and have a go yourself! There is something even more exciting, and that is watching your child create a pot on the potter’s wheel. Isn’t it something you’ve always wanted to try yourself? Children, and adults alike, are fascinated with clay and its possibilities. It is a great opportunity to introduce a very creative and fun way of learning something new, whilst celebrating a birthday or special occasion with friends.. At Hands On traditional crafts we also have a wide range of traditional craft courses to suit all ages and abilities from water colour painting, peg doll making, felt making, cross stitch, tapestry and rag rug making for your children to workshops in saddlery, sculpture, crochet, tapestry, cross stitch, pottery, stone walling and enamelling for the adults We have gathered together a team of traditional crafts people waiting to show their skills.
