Pottery activities for children, adults, education & relaxation

If The Great Pottery Throw Down inspires you... this is perfect!

We offer the ultimate pottery wheel experience - learn to throw a pot on a potters' wheel.  For adults and children alike, this pottery is full of exciting and fun pottery making workshops year-round.

Choose making pottery from a lump of clay and painting it. This could be for children's holiday activities, adult pottery courses and pottery workshops even group pottery activities. Hands On can bring mobile pottery to you at your venue like schools, care homes, community centres, your village hall and we also visit corporate companies offering team building days. A lot of people choose to make a day/ weekend out of it and choose to have the pottery experience here in Nunnington ~ close to the North York Moors National Park. It's a great idea for a pottery party... all ages and abilities can enjoy and achieve fantastic results. I work with each person as an individual as everyone is different, of course! with varying abilities.

Ceramics by Caroline Burton - Caroline makes functional earthenware with a soft cream finish and stoneware with a more vintage cream finish (and also microwave & dishwasher proof) all decorated using impressions of local English hedgerow plants and flowers. In addition to functional pottery, Caroline creates ceramic wall art in a similar style - very calming images that compliment both rustic, grand and modern interiors.
